What Do You Have On?

by Chris Allen

Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.   Ephesians 6:13 (NKJV)

In the book of Ephesians, the Apostle Paul is writing to encourage the church at Ephesus. He encourages them by sharing what they have gained in Christ. Paul begins by sharing their position in Christ:

  • they are seated in heavenly places,
  • they received their salvation;
  • they are saved by grace, through faith.

He talks about the mystery that is hidden in God and that the Jew and the Gentile would form the Body of Christ, which is the Church. Paul talks about the unity in the body and the gifts that each member of the body receives. He talks about their Christian walk, how they are to be imitators of God. He talks about the family dynamic and relationships. He also prays two powerful prayers. He prays that the eyes of their hearts be enlightened and they know the hope of their calling. He also prays that they be rooted and grounded in the love of Christ. His prayers are for spiritual wisdom, not for material processions.

And when he gets to the middle of chapter six, Paul makes a switch and says, “Finally . . . be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might!” (v.10) Why? Continue reading

It’s A New Year 2018— The Year of New Beginnings

by Min. Chris Allen

I remember eight years ago being at a muscular sclerosis conference with my mother, who had been diagnosed with the disease, and as the presenters were sharing information, the Holy Spirit started downloading a vision that I wrote on the pad provided for us to take notes on. By the time He finished, Anointed Women In Christ (AWIC) was birthed. I was so excited I couldn’t wait to get out of there to share with my best friend what God had given me. And we hit the ground running! We registered the business ministry, developed a team, and set the launch for November 2011. But little did I know at the time what it would cost me in order for it to become reality. Continue reading

FREE

FREE

By: Chris Allen

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” (John 8:36) (King James Version). Most of us have heard this familiar passage of scripture, but we have never experienced freedom in Christ in our own lives. We desire this freedom and have sometimes had a false sense of it until a crises hits and the freedom we believed we had, seems to dissipate, leaving us feeling bound, bewildered and battered with thoughts of defeat, discouragement and rejection.

Christ died for us to have an abundant life of freedom in Him, but we have a real adversary who purposefully seeks to kill, steal and destroy our lives. But Jesus says “I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).”  (John 10:10) (Amplified Bible).  The enemy of our souls tries to set up traps and snares in our lives to get us to doubt God’s love for us and to doubt all that Christ did at the cross to set us free so that we may have a real intimate and personal relationship with God and truly experience the abundant life Christ died to give us.

What’s Your Status?

What’s Your Status?

By: Chris Allen

“What’s your status?” is not only a popular term on Facebook, but also amongst people; Are you still single? You’re not married yet? When are you going to settle down? Are you still married to ________? As if the answer will somehow determine your state of being or they will determine based on your answer that you are doing ok.

Your status does not determine your happiness, joy or contentment or at least it shouldn’t. In Phil. 4:11 Paul says “I have learned to be content in whatever state I find myself in.” There is nothing on earth that last forever. We don’t know from moment to moment where we will end up in life or where this life will take us. For those of you who are married, you could suddenly find yourself single via divorce or becoming widowed. I know firsthand being previously married for 20 years and finding myself single for the last 2 years via divorce and it was not my idea. That is why it is so important that Continue reading
