It is far too common for women to measure their own value based on another woman’s accomplishments, her family unit, the way that she looks, her income etc. If we could only see ourselves the way that God sees us, how awesome would that be? Everyone’s purpose is different. So, why are you constantly comparing yourself to other women and fighting for a position? God has already placed you where He needs you to be. You don’t have to fight for it! It’s yours!
Don’t look at other people’s glitter and, sometimes fake, gold and feel like you are behind in your journey. Instead look at how far God has brought you! Remember when you couldn’t pay your bills or when you were still in that bad relationship that clearly wasn’t for you? Continue reading

No two people are exactly alike; not even twins. God gave each of us different gifts, talents and skills to use for His glory during our time here on earth. Some of us are gifted to be pastors or teachers, others singers, songwriters, painters, or writers. Still others are gifted to be administrators, leaders, speakers, organizers, givers, problem-solvers, or math and computer whizzes just to name a few. And in those gifts we excel. We are melodious, creative, quick; we are at ease. That is how it should be. A gift you have doesn’t devalue or diminish another person. God values us all equally and wants us to do the same.

God purposely did not make any two people exactly the same. God made you in His image and likeness and gave you the skills and talents He wanted you to use to glorify Him. God knew exactly what He was doing when He made you the way you are. He didn’t make any mistakes. You are a unique individual.
We live in a society where comparing one person to another is expected. However, God doesn’t want you to compare yourself with anyone else. When comparisons are made, one person always comes up lacking and, if you’re comparing yourself to someone else, you will usually find something lacking in yourself. Continue reading
